Isn't it funny that my friends who aren't illustrators always give me sketchbooks and notebooks? I have a lot of them, and they're blank! But since I became a professional illustrator, I hardly draw for myself. All my time is consumed by working for the industry that I forgot what it feels to draw on paper....

Soooo...

I finally returned to my roots. Drawon on paper feels like a total different world, allow me to make mistakes, use markers and other mediums feels so... refreshing. Is this what I felt when I was little? Having no fear to mistakes and shame of my own drawings?

Isn't it ironic how I highly recommend doing this to my students, but I've never followed my own advice?

If you ever feel like trapped in the daily routine of work (*cof BURNOUTcof*), just grab a pencil, some highlighters and draw whatever you want. Having my own sketchbook has helped me to deal with the burnout and keep some sketches just for myself, like I used to do when I was a little girl.

I'm sharing some of them here, and good luck
